Christmas in Idaho - End Sheets

Christmas in Idaho Ray Downing book end pages

Sap green color matches the holly motif

End sheets are the pages at the beginning and end of hardcover books that are used to attach the inside pages to the hardcover.

While end sheets can be plain and unobtrusive, Ray Downing wanted Christmas in Idaho to take full advantage of the beautiful papers and colors available. So he decided to give the end sheets a leading role in the design of the book.

Because most of the interior pages feature a green holly motif, he felt that echoing that color in the end sheets would give the book a well-balanced feel.

The sap green color we picked — lush, deep and vibrant — gives the reader a smooth and soothing introduction to the story.

It also recalls all the Christmas greens we use to decorate our homes during the holiday season.

💠 We love the green theme.
